Update regarding Course Closures
Dear North Coast Distance Education Students and Parents,
As most of you are already aware, North Coast Distance Education (NCDE) will be adjusting the course offerings available to students next year. Unfortunately, this will mean that several of the courses we have offered in previous years will no longer be available. For a list of the courses that will not be offered next year, please scroll down to the "course closures" announcement.
We would like to ensure all NCDE students and parents that we are committed to working with every person affected by this change in order to find suitable alternatives. Our team has been in communication with other Distributed Learning Schools in the region and in the province. We have compiled a list of recommendations based on our findings. The schools we have recommended are public institutions, and as such, mirror the NCDE practice of providing tuition-free programming to non-graduated, school-aged students.
Please do not hesitate to contact us, either through our website listed above, or by telephone as follows:
Telephone (250) 635-7944
Toll Free (800) 663-3865
In the coming days, we will be providing a “Frequently Asked Questions” notification on our website. If you have any questions you would like included, please email them to firstname.lastname@example.org.

EBUS will also be offering summer programming for certain courses. As well, EBUS has specific supports in place for students of Aboriginal Ancestry. To access the EBUS information page on Aboriginal support, please click http://www.ebus.ca/aboriginal-education/.
We have been in contact with EBUS administration, and our administration team is prepared to work closely with the EBUS on any necessary transition plans.

By searching the Learn Now BC database, a student can select a school of choice. Learn Now BC also allows students to search by individual subject, or course name.

Once again, we have been in contact with FVDE administration, and we are ready to work together to facilitate smooth transitions if necessary.
