We are a public education, distributed learning school in northwest British Columbia, offering a wide range of quality, teacher-led programs for learners of all ages across BC.

Report Cards

Monday, February 2nd is report card day at NCDES. Report Cards will be sent by email to all students who have completed at least 5% of the learning activities in their course and to their contacts . Look for them to arrive in the afternoon.

Provincial Exams February 2 - 6

If you are nearing completion of a course with a provincial exam (please check with your teacher) contact Rob Wahl at 250 638 4478 or rob.wahl@ncdes.ca with your name, location and phone number. This year Districts can either schedule exams on the week of January the 19th or on the week of February 2nd. If you live the Terrace, Kitimat, Hazelton, Stewart region exams are on the week of February 2. If you live elsewhere, please check with your local high school. Students wishing to write exams in Terrace should contact the school to register for the exam. Students who wish to write exams elsewhere may make arrangements directly with a local high school, or contact NCDES for support.

Elementary

Engage your child in personalized learning experiences through a choice of theme based activities.

Middle School and Secondary Courses

A variety of online middle school and secondary courses are offered. Students have the option to take individual courses or complete graduation programs to personalize their education plan.

Adult Graduation Program

Adults have the opportunity to fulfill B.C. Ministry approved graduation requirements through the Adult Dogwood.

Upgrading

Many courses are free to upgrade even if you have already graduated.

Registration - ID and Text Deposits


*** To expedite your application process, please provide us with an ID document as soon as possible if you are NOT attending a school.  We will accept a Driver’s License, Passport, Birth Certificate, BC ID or a Status card.  (If you have a digital camera or smart phone, you can take a snapshot of your ID and email it to clerical@ncdes.ca )


*** Some of our grade 10-12 online courses require a $100.00 text/materials deposit.  To see a list of these courses and how you can submit payment, please look under the "Resouces and Information" heading on our main page.
